Italian from Home

Some of you may have seen my IG updates about my semester abroad, but as the global epidemic spreads, my college felt it was the right choice to pull us students out of Rome. That was a few weeks ago and since then the epidemic has spread and proven that to be the right choice even if our time was cut short. Hopefully one day we will return but for now we must look ahead at the other opportunities we have been given in this time, even if we must do it from quarantine.
A friend reminded me of this the other day when the sent this to a group chat:

Sometimes, in wanting something SO badly, we forget that there are things we still can do with what is given to us. That doesn't change that we are upset over it, one's feelings are valid, but we cannot dwell on the unable but act on the able or else we will never do anything at all.
Therefore I will just have to devote my time to things I would have done in the summer upon returning and focus on what is in front of me. I can't wait to share if that turns out to be cooking, painting, movies or spa nights! Until then arrivederci!
